Jicinsky Family Reunion--August, 2010

Welcome to the Brandt blog!! We thought this would be a good place to start to get information out to all of you.

The Family Reunion is set for August 6st, 7th and 8th in Brighton, Michigan. Friday , the 6th, we will have a relaxing day at Baetcke Lake and a brat, burgers and beer cookout, followed by a bondfire in the evening. Saturday and Sunday, will continue the "good eats days"-Chicken Barbecue-on Saturday, Subs and Antipasto -on Sunday and there will be lots of things to do! Swimming, (both pool and/or lake), hot tub/spa for relaxing, fishing for bass and blue gill, slow boating--paddle boat and kayaks, socializing at the pool and the deck, and games. Anyone who wishes to come earlier in the week and/or stay later are very welcome to do so.

For anyone who would like to fly into the area-Brighton is located about an hour from each of the following airports: Detroit Metro(DTW), Lansing (LAN), and Flint (FNT). A block of rooms have been reserved at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Brighton. Each of the rooms has a sitting area with a queen-sized pullout bed for additional people and also a kitchen area. You can click on the link to get directly to the site to reserve a room. http://homewoodsuites.hilton.com/en/hw/groups/personalized/BGTHWHW-JIC-20100804/index.jhtml
Anyone with a camper or tent is welcome to set-up at our house. I am also sending a link to "Travel Michigan" which is a great website to find out what Michigan offers for any of you who would like to extend your trip to include other parts of Michigan. It really is a beautiful state. http://travelmichigan@michigan.org

Locally, (within a 10 mile radius) there are horse stables, camp facilities, recreational areas, golf courses and nature centers to visit. Shopping is abundant and I have personally researched each and every store within a 25 mile limit.
Dick has been very impressed with my diligence.

We are so looking forward to seeing all of you. If you have any ideas or suggestions for the reunion, please feel free to share them.
